Examining the Past

During a unit of study on adaptations and survival, students in Mrs. Hardy's sixth grade science class analyzed mammal skulls on loan from the Mississippi Museum of Natural Science to classify the specimens as either herbivores, carnivores, and omnivores.  By examining the eye placement and type of teeth of each creature, students were able to see the role each mammal plays in a food chain.
