Subjects Taught

I graduated from the University of Mississippi with a Bachelor's in Education. Before Ole Miss I attended Holmes Community College where I recieved my associate's degree. I am apart of numerous honor societies such as Beta Club, National Honor Society, Phi Kappa Phi, PTK, and Golden Key National Honor Society.

  • I have student taught in Lafayette County in Oxford for the past three years of my college experience. I have been well equipped with the training that is necessary to assess formative and informative assessments. These assessments will drive the instruction and help me determine the best teaching appraoch that helps my class grow in their education. I work very hard to ensure that every student is learning and making real world connections.

  • I have been a cheerleader my entire life. I have cheered at Yazoo County Middle School and Benton Academy. I also was a college Co-ed cheereleader for two years. I have been to College Nationals at Disney World and my squad won 4th place. Cheerleading is a very competitive sport and I look forward to working with the junior high cheerleaders.

I am a native of Yazoo City. I have attended both the elementary school as well as the middle school when I was going through school. I was a part of multiple clubs and school related activies throughout my time as a Panther. I have always wanted to be a teacher and inspire students to strive towards their goals. I have always had a love of math and am very fortunate to be your child's math teacher. Math is hard and it builds on itself and if you fall behind it is hard to be caught back up. My goal this year is to help your child not fall behind and stick with the program. I plan to use data to drive my instruction and if the data suggest that my teaching approach is not what is best for that particular class I will change my approach and accommodate my students. Your child's success is the most important thing this year.
